Dr. Rakesh Barve is the Senior Vice President of Data Science and Engineering at Anumana, where he leads initiatives at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, and healthcare innovation. At Anumana, Dr. Barve is driving the development of AI-powered technologies to advance clinical care and support groundbreaking drug development. He leads engineering and product teams in harnessing AI, statistical methods, and computer science to derive actionable insights from vast, heterogeneous biomedical and clinical healthcare data.

Previously, Dr. Barve held a similar role at nference, where he played a key part in building one of the first large-scale AI-based platforms for pharmacological and clinical data synthesis. His expertise bridges the creation of decision-enabling tools and the application of AI to real-world healthcare challenges.

Dr. Barve earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a PhD in Computer Science from Duke University. His career reflects a commitment to leveraging data science for transformative advancements in medicine and patient care.
